Choosing the right degree or certificate program is easier when you follow your interests. At Delaware Tech, you can explore your options and discover a career path that best matches your interests with the help of meta majors.
Meta majors are groupings of similar programs of study that center around six academic and career-related themes. These meta majors will help to simplify your decision in determining a program of study by providing first-year foundational courses that apply toward multiple programs.

Applied Technology
Do you enjoy working with your hands and have an interest in topics such as agriculture or automotive technology? This meta major provides hands-on training and industry-aligned education for high-demand careers.

Business and Communication
Are you a communicator, decision-maker, or strategic thinker? This meta major provides a strong foundation in business principles, digital media strategies, and visual storytelling through creative graphic solutions.

General Studies
Are you interested in starting with the basics while exploring a range of career paths or transfer programs? Students in this program may choose to transfer to complete a bachelor's degree or explore a competitive admissions program such as the College’s nursing and allied health programs.

Health Sciences
Do you have an interest in the human body, medical care, or veterinary medicine? This meta major is designed for students passionate about improving lives through healthcare and patient support.

Public Service

This meta major is designed for students interested in the sciences, engineering, technology and math. These programs emphasize innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving in real-world settings.

Workforce Training and Continuing Education
Are you considering trade programs or acquiring new job skills to advance your career? The workforce training opportunities offered through Delaware Tech are designed for those who want to upgrade their skills or change their career path altogether.
Earn Credits in High School
If you’re a high school student, you may be able to earn college credit while still in school through dual-enrollment opportunities. Students who qualify may take college-level courses and earn credit toward their high school graduation and a college degree.
Transfer to a 4-Year College
If you earn an associate degree, you can transfer to earn your bachelor’s degree through the Connected Degree program. Delaware Tech has agreements with our 4-year partner schools to make transferring easier.
Earn Credits Studying Abroad
Embark on a global adventure! Join our faculty-led study abroad program. You’ll earn credits for a course that meets on campus throughout the semester, then set off on an exciting oversees trip for eight to 10 days.
